What do you specialize in?
To put it very simply: I specialize in hosting truly private and secure social media services. I also do a little bit of web development in my free time as well!
What devices do you use on a daily basis?
I use a mixture of different devices! My main machine consists of a used Lenovo ThinkPad E580 and an HONOR X6c (2025 Revision) as my main phone!
What music do you listen to?
I listen to all kinds of different music!
Do you have any hobbies outside of self-hosting?
Yes, I do! I have a growing interest in transportation, more specifically bus and rail travel!
What hardware do you use to self-host?
At the time of writing this, I am not self hosting due to (somewhat invalid) electricity concerns raised by my parents. Sorry!
I want to self-host for myself, how do I do it?
If you want to get into self hosting for yourself, check out YunoHost - Its free and simple to use which makes it an amazing choice for beginners. You can run it on an old computer, but something like a Raspberry Pi works amazing for it! Pair it with Cloudflared, and you've got yourself a pretty slammin' server!Â
However, if you don't want to, or can't, self host from home, I recommend checking out Contabo - their prices are reasonable for what servers they provide, and they have many plans on offer for you!
